The American Red Cross and at least 11 partner agencies will open a Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) in El Reno at 12 noon Tuesday, June 4, for those impacted by the recent tornadoes.
This disaster relief center will be located at Jenks Simmons Field House, 211 N. Country Club in El Reno. On Tuesday the center will be open from 12 noon until 7 p.m. Beginning Wednesday, hours of operation will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
At the center, residents can meet with the Red Cross and partner agencies to get information and services as they start the recovery process.
So far, the following partner agencies have confirmed that they will have a representative at the El Reno MARC: AmeriCorps, Catholic Charities, Goodwill Industries, Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, NACC, Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency and the YMCA. Dell will provide computers with internet access for people to use. Canadian Valley Hospital will offer tetanus boosters. The United Way of Canadian County has arranged for El Reno Blessing Baskets and Russell Murray Hospice to be at the MARC.
In addition to this MARC in El Reno, four similar centers remain open in Moore, Little Axe, Shawnee and Carney.
