As everyday, the drive here was very interesting. We made our way through Hugo, Oklahoma first & found out that the original Buster Brown was from there. He was known as a tiny man from a tiny town. Okay, I just made that up, but Edmond Ansley really was from Hugo & the first Buster Brown. After that we made a quick stop @ Mt. Olivet cemetery, home to Showmen’s Rest. Over the years, many circuses have called Hugo home for the winter. The cemetery serves as the final resting place for many performers.

From there we headed to Gooberville. NOT! We made our way to Madill & the Texoma Peanut Inn. Even though it ...

Day 3 of Where In The State Is The Magic Man 2009

Day 3: Here we are talking & typing to you from Lago Vista in Hochatown, Oklahoma. I know you saying WHERE!?!?! It's just North of Borken Bow, Oklahoma, 3 1/2 hours from OKC. Trust me this place is worth the drive. In fact you need to see more about it right now, so log onto www.lagovistabedandbreakfast.com

Joan suggested that we take the Talamena Drive from Robbers Cave to get here, so we did. On the way we saw more critters, in fact this years trip is becoming the critter trip. On the drive we saw a couple of road runners, wild turkeys, walking sticks that were the size of tree branches & even a fox. (not road-kill fox, real, live FOX) In fact as soon as we can you'll be able to see pictures of them on the Where In The State photo gallery.

Day 2 took us to Robbers Cave State Park. If you've NEVER been to this state park you MUST go. The cabbins are really cool as you can see on the Where In The State gallery & they have a breath taking view. Then you get to climb all over the rocks & caves that Belle Starr, Jesse James, The Youngers & The Dalton gang hid out during the Wild West! Just in case you're wondering...Belle's so called hidden ...

Day 1 of Where In The State Is The Magic Man 2009

Day 1 had Joan Henderson from Oklahoma Today Magazine & myself setting up shop @ Fin & Feather's "Soda Steve's." What can I say other than AWESOME! We pulled into the resort last night, checked in & then went to Soda Steve's for what they said would be a tasting of what they had to offer. Instead they brought sooooooooooo much food out, we had to use one of their golf carts to get back across the street to our cabins. I mean TONS O FOOD! Then you add to the amount of food, the fact that ALL of it was DA BOMB! I hate Ruben Sandwiches, however I was able to eat one from Steve's. The Ribs feel off the bone, the steak was SOOOO good & on & on. I will tell you that if you're in the area & stop for Cheese Fries & homemade Root Beer, ...

BCS, Congress & Texas Rep. Isn't there other things more pressing?

The Bowl Championship Series will be in Congress tomorrow (Friday) as lawmakers examine whether the system for awarding a national championship is fair. In fact...Wait for it...Rep. Joe Barton of...wait...Texas, has sponsored legislation that would prevent the NCAA from calling a college football game a national championship unless it results from a playoff system. (or if Texas is playing for the title) Okay, I added that part. But with all of this said, shouldn't congress be working on other things that might be a little bit more important? What cha think?

PLEASE!?!?!?

I'm SICK & TIRED of American Idol running long & screwing up my DVR, so here's my thoughts to fix the entire show. See what you think...

Performance Nights:
Quick introductions of judges, Ryan & so Paula can show off her jewelry & what the others are wearing. The mentor makes one big quote about how cool the contestants are & done. After that, Adam blows away the crowd like every week, Simon does his thing & the other judges don't chime in, they just nod or shoot angry looks at him for his wonderful or too karaoke comments.

Up next Danny does his Danny Gokey thing, Simon says it was a bit boring, but understands why America loves him. The audience boos. Then, run the highlights of the rest, cause c'mon it's going to be Adam & Danny in the final 2. Ryan gives out all the dial-in numbers, reminding us that they are 866 numbers & that standard text messaging rates apply.

John Madden, Hall of Fame coach & the most honored broadcaster in sports TV history, announced his retirement from broadcasting this morning. NBC Sports chairman Dick Ebersol said Cris Collinsworth, would replace Madden in the booth.

This is a Very SAD day for anyone that has EVER watched football. Me personally, will have to take the next 4 days to get over this announcement. However, after reading the statement Madden released I can't blame him, but I will sorely miss him. the statement read as follows...It's time. I'm 73 years old. My 50th wedding anniversary is this fall. I have two great sons & their families & my five grandchildren are at an age now when they know when I'm home & more importantly, when I'm not. I still love every part of it – the ...

Say WHAT?!?!?!?!?

The following my fellow bloggers will either upset you beyond belief or will make you continue to take HER side.

Associatedcontent.com reports that Octo-mom Nadya Suleman has signed a deal for a reality program that will start filming once her last Octo-baby leaves the hospital. In addition to showing her life as a mother of 14, the series will also follow Suleman's attempts to find a person to have a relationship with.

Again...Say WHAT?!?!?!?!?!? I don't mean to offend, but this just makes me sick. This woman kicks out the FREE child care help that Dr. Phil help set up & now wants to spend time away from the children on this reality show? I won't say how I really feel, but I just can't believe how messed up this situation seems to be. What are your thoughts?
