Playhouse Parade
CASA a nonprofit organization that strives to give children a voice in court through volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates, has graciously been given a trip to Los Angeles to attend the premiere event for AMC's The Walking Dead this October! Whoever wins this trip, will travel to Los Angeles in October free of charge, the hotel and the airfare will be covered. Not only will the recipient be able to attend the Walking Dead premiere, but he or she will also be able to go to the After Party with the cast members as well. We are extremely excited and thankful for this generous donation! The Items we will be raffling off are:
$5 per ticket or 5 for $20 3 Playhouses-Provided by Richardson Homes, OU School Architecture and a team effort of Tom Wilson Architect/Corbin Roberts Homes.
$10 per ticket or 3 for $25 1 Storm Shelter-Provided by Smart Shelter Inc. 1 $1000 Gift Certificate to Mathis Bros-Provided by Mathis Brothers 1 Trip to the LA Premiere and after party with cast of The Walking Dead for 2 people.
They will be selling raffle tickets at their Playhouse Parade event June 14-23rd at Penn Square Mall.

Tour de CureĀ® annual cycling event
The American Diabetes Association is asking the Oklahoma City Metro Area to be part of the Stop Diabetes® movement by participating in Tour de Cure®. The event will take place to raise much needed funds to help stop this deadly disease and its devastating complications.
Cyclists from around the region will gather at one of 5 routes to participate in the event to help raise fund to stop this devastating disease. They will join more than 50,000 other cyclists and volunteers from across the country. Individuals and teams composed of co-workers, family and friends are taking the ride of their life by helping raise funds for the nearly 26 million Americans with diabetes – including 420,000 people in Oklahoma. Tour de Cure is designed for anyone from the occasional to the experienced cyclist with routes from 4 and 10-mile family rides to 100-mile century rides. Each route will feature rest stops with food to fuel the journey and volunteers to cheer riders on.

The Titan Challenge
5k Mud-Obstacle Race, One of the only in the country to directly include logic puzzles and riddles along with the physical challenges: July 6th, 2013, Sparks, OK (Sparks America Campgrounds, gates open at 8:00, the first race wave will begin at 9:00 and new waves will start every 30 minutes. Each Registration is worth $55 though May 1st. Registrations include: One free Drink (Beer for the over 21's), Titan Challenge Race Medal, Titan Challenge Rear Window Decal, Professional Race timing chip, Post-Race snacks and water, One Epic Day! Soles4Souls, Non-Profit: Soles4Souls has a simple concept: they procure shoes and get them to those in need. Since 2005, they have distributed over 19 million pairs of shoes, including 129 different countries, and many of these distributions have taken place right here in the United States. Soles4Souls accepts any type of shoe in any condition, using new shoes for crisis relief and older shoes in need of cleaning and repairs for microenterprise programs. And it only takes $1 to help make a difference! At Soles4Souls, it only takes $1 to help distribute a pair of shoes, so every $1 donation is critical for Soles4Souls to help give the gift of shoes! We are helping by, raising money with each registration and sponsor we receive, and collecting old, worn-out or used shoes.

Oklahoma Gears Up for Bike MS: The Mother Road Ride
National MS Society encourages cyclists to take on a personal challenge and make a difference in the lives of those living with multiple sclerosis on September 21-22 TULSA, Okla. – Bike MS: The Mother Road Ride 2013, presented by Sam’s Club, is an annual two-day, fundraising cycling event that raises funds and awareness for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Bike MS: The Mother Road Ride has changed course and now offers several route options for cyclists of all skill levels, including a 100 mile one-day route. Taking place September 21-22, 2013, participants will enjoy a scenic and diverse ride while making an impact on MS.
"Bike MS: The Mother Road Ride is an exciting opportunity for cyclists, sponsors, volunteers and people living with multiple sclerosis to connect to one another and our mission," said Ray Mack, Vice President of Development for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Oklahoma. "The camaraderie and shared experience of raising awareness and funds makes the weekend a truly special experience. With each mile behind us and each dollar raised, we are moving closer to a cure."
Bike MS: The Mother Road Ride 2013, presented by Sam’s Club, offers a round-trip route through the byways and highways of Central Oklahoma encountering nostalgia of the first highway linking the Midwest to the West Coast. On Saturday, Sept. 21, cyclists will begin their journey at Agri Civic Center in Chandler and choose one of three route options before heading back for an overnight celebration and preparing to cross the Finish Line on Sunday, Sept. 22.
