4th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament on behalf of Studio 222, a free, after-school program. This tournament is a charity event benefiting Studio 222, an after-school program facilitated by St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. Studio 222 offers a free, safe, positive environment for inner city middle school aged youth at Taft Middle School. In partnership with the Oklahoma City Public Schools Homeless Program, homeless youth have the opportunity to be part of this program as well. Format: Four (4) person scramble Awards, Hors d’oeurves and Door Prizes after round of golf. Silent Auction Items will also be available. HeartLine, Central Oklahoma’s Community Connection, offers an opportunity to celebrate the quality of life at “An Evening of Acclamation and Admiration” which is to be held at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel at 7 p.m. The Festival of Hope will honor three individuals, an organization, and a local middle school for the differences they have made.

Crossings Community Church holds a Divorce Recovery Workshop Led by Pastors Jeff Stewart, LPC, and Ron Mahn, LPC/LMFT, the Divorce Recovery Workshop is designed to offer hope, encouragement and understanding, while providing direction to those dealing with divorce and separation. Pastor Jeff Stewart, LPC, initiated the Divorce Recovery Workshop in 1998. He holds a master’s in counseling psychology and currently serves as senior associate pastor at Crossings.
Pastor Ron Mahn, LPC/LMFT, holds degrees in theology and psychology and is both a licensed professional counselor and licensed marital and family therapist. He oversees LifeCare Ministries, Crossings’ counseling and recovery ministry.

Crossings Community Church kicks off its fall Growing U program Growing U is designed to equip people for life through biblical instruction. Adult classes include, but are not limited to: Financial Peace DNA of Relationships ~ learn how to effectively live in relationship with self, God and others Boundaries ~ learn how to set biblically appropriate boundaries in life Healing through 12-Step Perspective DivorceCare In-depth study classes include:
The Bethel Series: In this 21-week study of the Old Testament, look at how God’s moved through history to bring about His plan of salvation. Cost is $45. Held on Wednesday evenings during Growing U, beginning Aug. 27. The Theology Program: The first course in “The Theology Program,” this 10- week comprehensive theological training presents a basic understanding of theology. Class begins Sunday, Aug. 31, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Cost is $100. Bibliology and Hermeneutics: The second course in “The Theology Program” is designed to help individuals work through issues that concern the trust they place in the Bible and its interpretation.
This 10-week study is held on Wednesdays during Growing U and on Sundays, beginning Aug. 31, from 3:45 to 5:15 p.m. Cost is $100. Programs are also available for infants through teens on Wednesday evenings. Dinner is offered prior to Wednesday evening programming, from 4:45 to 6:15 p.m. Cost is $5 per person or $10 per family.
