Larry was born in Lawton , Oklahoma , attended Oklahoma State University majoring in radio broadcasting (can you believe it?). Several years earlier, Larry won a T-shirt from KLAW radio in Lawton . When he went to pick up his prize, he watched the D.J. working. He thought it would be “pretty neat” to get paid for playing records (Yes, records. Remember those?). So He got his FCC license & began “Bugging” the station program director relentlessly until he gave in & hired him. That was August 1977, while I was still in High School.

Larry is single, no kids. Fortunately, other people continue to perpetuate the species.
