SCANDANAVIAN ALMOND WAFERS
¾ cup Brown Sugar
1 cup Butter (no substitute)
4 oz. pkg. slivered almonds
20 (or so) single graham wafers
Line a cookie sheet with foil, lay graham wafers on it & sprinkle with almonds.
Bring butter and sugar to a boil and boil for 3 or 4 minutes (stirring constantly) then pour over graham wafers and almonds.
Bake at 400 degrees for 7 to 8 minutes.
Cool slightly and cut with a sharp knife. Put in refrigerator and break apart later when completely cold.
(Watch so you don’t burn the butter & sugar when you are boiling it.)
