Pinehurst No. 2 turning heads

But still doesn't crack Top 10 U.S. Open courses

     The Pinehurst No. 2 Resort Course went retro and is turning heads at this week's U.S. Open. The Donald Ross design was restored to its original state from the 1940s and is hosting its third U.S. Open since 1999. Pinehurst No. 2 also will host next week's U.S. Women's Open, becoming the first course to host both events in the same year.

     The top courses to have hosted the 114 U.S. Opens:
